Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a hike in the remuneration of all Village Resource Persons in the State.
As a result, they now receive Rs 400 instead of Rs 300 for their daily working days. They will also receive an extra Rs. 100 to help with travel expenses. They’ll receive 500 rupees in total.
Ten thousand village resource people in the state will gain from this. The state government will have to pay an extra Rs 2.88 crore for this.
Workers have made a recommendation in this regard during the visits to several areas by 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian. The Chief Minister has decided to give them more money in light of their issues.
It is noteworthy that the village resource persons employed by the PR & WD department of the Odisha Society for Social Audit Accountability and Transparency (OSSAAT) play a key role in ensuring cleanliness through their social audits of numerous significant government programs, including MGREGA, Pucca House, Food Security, and Mid-Day Meals. A large number of Mission Shakti members are engaged in this.
