Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed international hockey teams, dignitaries, and visitors to Odisha for the FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023.
Addressing a massive audience at Millenium City Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium, Naveen said, “Odisha is known for its hospitality. I am sure all the visitors will take a little part of Odisha home, with them.”
The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for their assistance in organizing the grand international event, which Odisha is hosting for the second time in a row.
The CM’s opening address concluded with trademark Naveen style – “Hockey World Cup is being organised in Odisha. The inauguration is organised in Cuttack – ‘Apana Maane Khusi Ta, Mun Bi Bohot Khusi’.”
The iconic Barabati stadium thundered, with the audience’s euphoria!
