The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts severe fog in isolated places throughout seven Odisha districts tomorrow.
According to IMD forecasts, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore districts would see dense fog tomorrow. These districts have received an orange warning.
Furthermore, cold wave conditions are expected to prevail in isolated pockets throughout Angul and Jharsuguda districts. Residents are advised to prepare for the chilly weather and take appropriate precautions.
On December 31, the regional meteorological office issued a yellow alert for dense fog in Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore, as well as a cold wave alarm in Angul and Jharsuguda.
“Dense to very dense fog is likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Khurda, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Puri, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur”, read the alert January 1 prediction made by IMD, which issued a yellow alert to the said districts.
According to the IMD forecast for January 2, dense to extremely dense fog is anticipated to occur in isolated pockets in the districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Puri. These districts are on yellow alert.
“Dense fog is very likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Jagatsinghpur and Sundargarh”, read the IMD alert for January 3.
