According to the health ministry, India reported 1,016 new covid infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 4,46,63,968.
In the last 24 hours, the number of active cases has dropped to 13,187.
According to the union ministry, active cases account for 0.03% of total infections, with a recovery rate of 98.78%.
With three new deaths, the death toll now stands at 5,30, 514. Two in Maharashtra and one in Rajasthan in a 24-hour period, with the date updated.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,20,267, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, the country has received 219.76 crore doses of Covid vaccine so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
