On September 20, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) altered the examination schedule for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024. The Board had previously planned the test for December 1, however the date has now been changed to December 15 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted in 136 places around the country.
The CTET announcement further stated that if the number of candidates is larger in any place, the exam may be held on December 14.
CBSE began the online application process on September 17, and the deadline for submitting the online application is October 16 at 11:59 p.m. The remaining parameters will be the same as stated in the information bulletin; read the notification.
To be eligible for the CTET 2024 December session, a candidate must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old, and have at least 50% marks in senior secondary or graduation, depending on the topic applied for.
Applicants under the General and OBC categories will pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both papers to apply for CTET December 2024. The registration fee for SC, ST, and differently abled individuals is Rs 500 for a single paper test and Rs 600 for both tests.
