The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made practice exams for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate 2022 exam available (CUET-UG 2022). Students can access and download these practice tests from the official CUET or NTA websites, cuet.samarth.ac.in and nta.ac.in, respectively.
The NTA has released these practice tests to familiarize students with this national-level entrance exam, which is being held for the first time in India as a compulsory entrance exam in all central universities.
Students must go to the official CUET website — cuet.samarth.ac.in — and click on the link to practice tests under the ‘public notice’ tab to download that form. The practice test link will be available on the notice page.
Candidates should keep in mind that these are practice questions, not a mock test, and do not necessarily reflect the length or pattern of the actual exam paper. “They do not necessarily represent the pattern or spread of questions across various topics in the syllabus, or their difficulty level, or their answerability within any specified time span, etc. of the questions that will be present in the actual exam,” the official NTA notice stated.
NTA has also stated that if some questions are not included in the syllabus of some state or central board class 12 exams, students should not be concerned because the CUET UG exam will provide choice in all of its component tests.
The practice tests were made available one day after the NTA extended the registration and correction deadline for CUET candidates. This decision was made to ensure that students applying in the reserved category can submit their category certificates without experiencing any administrative delays.“It has been brought to our notice that some candidates desirous of applying for CUET (UG) -2022 are not able to apply since they are not in possession of the actual Category Certificate (such as SC/ST certificate), which they are required to upload while applying for the same,” the official NTA notice read.
On July 15, July 16, July 19, July 20, August 4, August 5, August 6, August 7, August 8, and August 10, the CUET-UG 2022 exam is scheduled. It will be entirely computer-based, with candidates answering multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
A few participating universities will also hold the common entrance exam for postgraduate admissions. The deadline for CUET PG 2022 in postgraduate programmes at 42 central universities has been extended until July 4, 2022, and candidates can apply for the CUET-PG at cuet.nta.nic.in. The application fee is due by July 5, and candidates can make changes to their application from July 6 to July 8.
