Bhubaneswar: After a gap of almost 4 months, the COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 1000 on Monday.
The state saw 886 fresh infections being detected from 66063 swab samples in the last 24 hours, which took the affected tally to 987956.
The test positivity rate also dropped to 1.34% from 1,79 % yesterday.
Khurda district reported the highest 253 fresh infections, whereas Cuttack and Balasore logged 81 and 62 cases, respectively.

Odisha now has 11486 active cases in comparison with 12129 a day earlier with 1463 more patients getting cured of the infection on Sunday.
The Health Department also reported 66 more deaths because of COVID-19 as the toll rose to 6501. Khurda district reported highest 29 deaths.
