The 4th season of the dance reality show Dance Deewane ended on Saturday, with dancers Nithin NJ and Gaurav Sharma being proclaimed winners in the grand finale. They won the coveted trophy and Rs 20 lakh in prize money, which judges Madhuri Dixit Nene and Suniel Shetty presented to the champions.
While Nithin was from Bengaluru, Gaurav was from Delhi, and they both performed excellent dances throughout the competition, eventually winning the crown. Judge Madhuri was impressed by their great efforts and rewarded them Rs 101 as shagun many times this season. Gaurav described their experience as fantastic and interesting, and he recounted with ETimes the first communication obstacles they encountered: he could not understand Kannada, and Nithin did not know Hindi. However, the duo managed to communicate through dance. Though the two reportedly auditioned separately, they were paired together later.
“Congratulations to Nithin and Gaurav for winning the trophy and the hearts of viewers! So many of their performances were masterpieces and I’m sure their artistry will continue to stun the world. Their journey celebrated the art form that is so close to my heart. It has been a pleasure watching them grow as performers. As they lift the trophy of this season, I’m confident that they will inspire generations with their moves,” Madhuri Dixit said in a statement.
Besides Madhuri and Suniel, actor Kartik Aaryan was also present during the grand finale as part of the promotions for his upcoming film Chandu Champion. Aired on Colors TV, the fourth season of Dance Deewane premiered on February 3, 2024, with comedian and TV personality Bharti Singh as the host.
