Decathlon, one of India’s leading sporting goods companies, has entered the electric two-wheeler market with the introduction of the Rockrider E-ST100 bicycle. In the first stage, the company will sell 150 of these e-bikes in three Bengaluru stores: Anubhava, Whitefield, and Bannerghatta Road. The new Decathlon Rockrider E-ST100 electric bicycle is priced at Rs 84,999 in India.

In terms of specifications, the Rockrider E-ST100 has a 250W rear hub motor that produces 42 Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 25 kmph after which the electric assistance is cut off in accordance with Indian regulations. This electric bike has a detachable 380 Wh Samsung lithium-ion cell battery pack that charges in six hours and provides pedal assistance for up to 100 km on a single charge in mode 1 on flat terrain.
The E-ST100 is ARAI certified for maximum power and maximum cut-off speed, according to Decathlon. Furthermore, its battery is BIS certified for safety and quality. This e-bike is available in two frame sizes, Medium and Large, to accommodate different rider heights. Decathlon’s new Rockrider E-ST100 comes with three pedal assist modes: Eco, Standard, and Boost. The frame is guaranteed for life, and the battery pack is guaranteed for two years or 500 charging cycles.
