The deep depression over south Odisha moved north-northwestward at 10 kmph over the last six hours, weakening into a depression, according to the India Meteorological Department.
According to the most recent information from the regional weather centre, the depression over interior Odisha has weakened and is forecast to move north-northwest throughout the region, gradually fading into a well-defined low-pressure system over the following 12 hours.
“As of 5:30 am today, the depression was centered near latitude 20.2°N and longitude 84.1°E, approximately 40 km south-southwest of Phulbani, 100 km east-northeast of Bhawanipatna, 140 km south of Sambalpur, and 190 km south of Jharsuguda” , according to an IMD report.
