Devendra Fadnavis took his third time oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister on Thursday, in front of a slew of NDA heavyweights, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a lavish ceremony.
Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered Fadnavis’ oath.
With Thursday’s swearing-in, Fadnavis began his 3.0 innings. Former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers of the Fadnavis-led council of ministers.
Fadnavis is anticipated to enlarge his cabinet on December 11 or 12, ahead of the impending winter session of the state legislature, which begins on December 16 in Nagpur.
At 5.30 p.m., the swearing-in ceremony began with a national anthem and a Maharashtra song, and it ended at 5.45.
