Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 had one of the best advance ticket sales of any Hindi film this year, which reflected positively in the film’s opening day box office collection. It has surpassed the opening day record set by this year’s blockbuster, Bhool Bhulaiyya 2, which earned Rs 14.11 crore on its first day of release. On Friday, the film earned Rs 15.38 crore.
Drishyam 2 is directed by Abhishek Pathak and stars Ishita Dutta, Akshaye Khanna, Rajat Kapoor, and Shriya Saran. Drishyam 2 tells the intriguing story of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family. Tabu reprised her role as Meera Deshmukh, Inspector General of Police, in the film.
