The campaigning for the first phase of elections in Odisha is set to end today; today is the deadline for politicians to win over voters.
The first phase of election campaigning in Odisha will come to a close this evening. For this reason, the contestants are giving it their all. With only a few hours remaining, the candidates are canvassing door-to-door, organizing rallies, road shows, and meetings.
The first phase would include voting in the Lok Sabha seats of Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Berhampur, as well as 28 assembly seats. Voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 13.
In the last election of 2019, the BJD won in Berhampur and Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seats while BJP won in Kalahandi and Congress won in Koraput Lok Sabha seats. Out of 28 assembly seats under these four parliamentary constituencies, 21 seats were won by BJD last time. Whereas, BJP won four seats and Congress three.
