Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Sunny Deol’s period action-drama Gadar 2 is shattering multiple records not only in Bollywood but also across India. Gadar 2 is doing exceptionally well at the box office in India and around the world. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, has surpassed the Rs 300 crore mark at the international box office. According to a report from the trade portal Sacnilk, this achievement makes it one of only four Bollywood films this year to attain such a feat. Gadar 2’s first five days at the box office were successful, earning Rs 228.98 crore in India. The sixth day, Wednesday, saw an incredible increase of Rs 34.50 crore. The Sunny Deol-starrer capitalized on Parsi New Year in some states, but it also performed well in states where Parsi New Year is not celebrated.
Gadar 2 to enter Rs 400-crore club in India
The success of Gadar 2 is expected to take it above the Rs 400-crore threshold in India. Only Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has previously surpassed the Rs 400 crore mark in 2023. Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastira both topped the Rs 400 crore mark last year.
Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, and Manish Wadhwa all play important roles in Sunny Deol’s film. In Chennai and Jaipur, it has the highest occupancy rate of 73.77 percent.
Gadar 2 clashes with OMG 2 and Jailer at the box office
It should be noted that Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is competing at the box office with two larger films, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer. However, this isn’t stopped Gadar 2 from rising to prominence. If Anil Sharma’s film had been the only one to be released, Gadar 2 may easily have exceeded the Rs 700 crore mark.
Gadar 2’s global box office collection is astounding, and with the way things are going for the film, earning Rs 500 crore internationally is not out of the question. With this, it will become the year’s second highest-grossing picture, trailing only Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. What distinguishes Gadar 2 is that its budget is less than Rs 100 crore.
