On November 17, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati revealed the schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. The entire schedule (exam date, time, and paper code) is available on the official GATE 2026 website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
GATE 2026 will be conducted in two shifts per day. The first session will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the afternoon session from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p. IIT Guwahati will release the results on March 19, 2026.
The official GATE 2026 website is gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The application process began on August 25, with the last date to apply being September 28 (without late fees) and October 9 (with late fees).
Previously, the GATE test committee stated that it would take steps to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2026.
