On Saturday, gold prices rose by Rs 10 per ounce. A gram of 24-carat gold costs Rs 51,110, while a gram of 22-carat gold costs Rs 52,110.
Silver, on the other hand, dropped by Rs 600. The current price of silver per kilogram is Rs 60,900.
10 gram of 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,130 in Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore, while ten gram of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,790 in Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore. In Chennai, a gram of 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,180, while a gram of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,850.
Silver is currently trading at Rs 60,900 per kg in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. One kilogram of silver is currently worth Rs 66,300 in Chennai.
According to a government source, India’s gold imports in May increased 677 percent year on year to the highest level in a year as price corrections just before a key festival and wedding season boosted retail jewelry purchases.
