The Odisha government on Monday extended the deadline for submitting contributions for the Viksit Odisha@2036 vision paper from November 20 to December 5.
According to sources, at a meeting led by Development Commissioner Anu Garg, it was decided to allow individuals to submit recommendations to make the Viksit Odisha document more broad-based and inclusive.
So far, the government has received feedback from over 20,000 individuals, organisations, and agencies, with over 1 lakh opinions and ideas expected.
To accomplish this, the state administration is considering huge public outreach activities. Garg stated that the government will hold open discussions to prepare the document after accepting proposals.
It is worth noting that the NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer (CEO), BVR Subrahmanyam, reviewed the progress of the vision paper, which will highlight the requirements and reforms required to transform Odisha into a developed economy.
