Recently, the theme song for the upcoming multilingual superhero Indian film ‘HanuMan’ was released. It’s a powerful rendition of “Hanuman Chalisa.”
Prasanth Varma’s film, directed and written by him, combines stories from Hindu mythology with the prowess of modern technology.
Lord Hanuman’s strength, grit, and valour are lauded in the song. The ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ is a well-known hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman that is thought to have been written in the 16th century by the poet Tulsidas. It is widely recited by devotees to seek Lord Hanuman’s blessings and protection. The film, starring Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai, establishes Indian mythology’s first cinematic universe.
“Having ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in our film was an undeniable choice, but we knew that we wanted it to embody the very essence of our story,” director Prasanth Varma said of the song. Our composers have woven a song that not only pays homage to Lord Hanuman but also captures the spirit of our film with great care and precision.”
The clips depict various scenes from Lord Hanuman’s stories, adding a rich visual element to the spiritual message of the song.
The director further mentioned: “The making of this hymn was an illuminating experience, allowing us to delve deeper into its profound message of peace and strength. Through relentless brainstorming, we have elevated its elements, making it a true tribute to the mighty Lord. I am humbled and forever grateful for this opportunity to offer our homage, and there couldn’t be a more auspicious day to release this song.”
The film is about a young boy (Teja Sajja) who, with Lord Hanuman’s blessing, transforms into a modern-day superhero. The film has the vision and visual effects of a universal superhero adventure, with a strong yet relatable story at its core.
K. Niranjan Reddy and PrimeShow Entertainment produced the film, which is being released in Hindi by RKD Studios.
