The days of Kalabaisakhi rains in Odisha are numbered, as the heat is expected to return. The temperature will rise 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the following two days.
On the other side, relief from the heat can be noticed. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected today, accompanied with strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph in seven districts.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert to the following seven districts: Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
Similarly, 16 areas have been issued a yellow alert for lightning and thunderstorms, with gusty winds of 30 to 40 km per hour.
