The most feature-rich 125cc motorcycle in the nation, the Glamour X, has finally been released by Hero MotoCorp. The new Hero Glamour X will be available in two models to complement the Glamour Xtec line: Drum and Disc, which will retail at Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999 (both ex-showroom).
Hero Glamour X: Updated Design
Although the Glamour X is visually almost identical to the present Glamour range, there are some subtle yet obvious differences that make the former a bit more distinct. For example, the enlarged tank shrouds with the new Glamour X’s name give the bike a somewhat more muscular vibe. This variant of the Glamour is more aggressive than the standard Glamour and Xtec versions since it has many cuts and creases.

Another interesting addition is a larger visor up front. The headlight and taillamp’s H-shaped LED element is a holdover from Hero’s few previous launches. There are five different color variations available. Metallic Nexus Blue, Black Teal Blue, and Black Pearl Red color schemes are available for the Disc variant, while Matt Magnetic Silver and Candy Blazing Red are available for the Drum variant.
Hero Glamour X: New Features
Cruise control is one of the many features that set the Glamour X apart from the other models in this series. The Hero Glamour X, which is available in the top-spec Disc version, undercuts the TVS Apache RR 310 and KTM 390 Duke by being the most reasonably priced motorbike in India with cruise control.
The Glamour X also gets a new LCD digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, distance-to-empty, gear position indication, and ambient light sensor in addition to cruise control. Additionally, it has a redesigned switchgear that includes a cruise control button on the right side and danger switch functions.
In terms of safety, it comes with a first-in-segment panic brake alert that flashes the indicators under sudden braking. Other notable features on offer include a type C USB charging port, and an under-seat enclosed utility box, offering secure storage for two mobile phones.
Hero Glamour X: More efficient powertrain
The Glamour X’s 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine produces 11.4 horsepower and 10.6 Nm of peak torque, just like the other Glamour models. A five-speed gearbox is matched with this powerplant. This engine’s cam profile has been adjusted to produce a somewhat higher output. For a faster throttle response, the gear ratios have also been optimized.
Hero has also introduced a new technology called AERA Tech (Advanced Electronic Ride Assist), which is the first 125cc motorcycle in the world to have a low-battery kick-start capability powered by a smart solenoid valve. Features like Ride-by-Wire (Electronic Throttle Body) and three different Ride Modes—Eco, Road, and Power—are available with this new electronic control system.
