Hero MotoCorp’s new Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 starts at Rs. 82,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This shows that the new model costs Rs 3,000 more than the previous model. The most recent Hero Splendor, which marks the 30th anniversary of the world’s best-selling motorcycle, includes a number of premium and first-in-segment features. The new Xtec 2.0 features a new LED headlamp with a high-intensity position lamp (HIPL). The commuter also receives a new H-shaped taillight for a distinct appearance. However, it retains a recognizable silhouette.

Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0: What’s New?
Hero MotoCorp has not changed the design in any manner to ensure that its identity is preserved. Nonetheless, the Splendour Plus Xtec 2.0’s most striking qualities are its modern elements. For example, it gets an LED headlamp with an integrated LED position lamp. It also features a trademark H-shaped LED taillamp at the back.
In terms of color possibilities, the bike is now available in three new colors: Matte Grey, Gloss Black, and Gloss Red. The engine crash guard is still chrome-finished, and other styling elements such as side hooks and a tubular grab rail that doubles as a small tail rack remain. Furthermore, the wider glove box with a hinge-style construction adds convenience to the new Splendour Plus Xtec is said to have a longer seat for greater comfort.
The standout feature is the fully digital instrument console, which includes a side stand indicator, eco-indicator, service reminder, and Real Time Mileage indicator. The Hero model also boasts Bluetooth connectivity for calls, texts, and battery alerts in addition to a USB charging port. Besides, a side-stand engine cutoff, bank angle sensor, and dedicated warning switch provide a safety net.
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0: Engine and Gearbox
Mechanically, the Splendor Plus Xtec is powered by the popular 97.2cc engine. This unit is set to produce 7.9bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine also has the Idle Stop Start System (13S), which claims to deliver the greatest fuel economy in its class at 73 km/l. The vehicle can be equipped with a four-speed transmission. The standard telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the back manage suspension, while the front and rear drum brakes handle braking. Hero is proposing a 6,000-kilometre service interval, which dramatically reduces operating costs.
