Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is taking a huge stride towards sustainability by introducing the CB300F flex-fuel motorcycle, which is priced at Rs 1.7 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The CB300F, India’s first flex-fuel motorcycle, is presently accepting bookings and will be available at Honda’s BigWing shops by the last week of October 2024.
Honda CB300F Flex Fuel: What makes it eco-friendly?
India has been on a campaign to boost its ethanol content, with the goal of reaching 20 percent by 20 percent by 2025. According to Honda, the CB300F’s 293.52 cc engine can use up to E85 gasoline (85 percent ethanol and 15% petrol). The advantage of ethanol mix gasoline is that it emits less CO2 and other damaging climate gases. ethanol has a higher octane rating than standard petrol, hence, it offers better fuel economy and performance. The Government of India also sees this as an economic benefit as it reduces the dependence on imported oil and creates jobs in the domestic agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
Honda CB300F Flex Fuel: Specifications
There is a widespread misperception that a car is eco-friendly at the expense of power. . This is not the case with the CB300F Flex Fuel, which produces 24.5 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 25.9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The Flex Fuel variant has an additional 0.5 horsepower and 0.9 Nm above the basic petrol model. The powerplant is paired to a 6-speed transmission. The 300F Flex Fuel keeps the normal version’s gear, including a 276 mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, as well as dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle has 17-inch alloy wheels, a seat height of 789 mm, and a ground clearance of 177mm. The CB300F features an upside-down gold-colored front fork and a 5-step adjustable rear mono-shock set-up.

The CB300F Flex Fuel boasts an all-digital instrument cluster with five brightness settings, a speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, two trip meters, gear indication, and clock. It also has an Intelligent Ethanol Indicator that illuminates when the vehicle is fueled with gasoline with a greater ethanol percentage (more than 85%), an assist slipper clutch, and all LED lights, including the indicators.
The CB300F flex-fuel will be offered in one model and two colors: Sports Red and Mat Axis Grey Metallic. It is priced at Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
