The Hyundai Venue with sunroof has become even more accessible thanks to the new Venue S+ entry-level variant, which starts at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai’s tiny SUV has come up against intense competition from recently launched rivals such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the facelifted Tata Nexon. To remain competitive, the Korean firm has regularly updated the Venue’s variation lineup and amenities. Hyundai introduced the Venue S(O) model only two weeks ago.
- Venue S+ aimed at sunroof-equipped entry-level XUV 3XO, Nexon
- Gets a single 1.2-litre NA petrol engine option
- Equipped with 8-inch infotainment as standard
What is included with the Hyundai Venue S+?
The Venue S+ falls below the recently announced S(O) model and has a single powertrain option: a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 82hp and connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Venue S+ is the most cheap variant with a sunroof, costing Rs 9.35 lakh. A digital infotainment cluster is also available, as is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers rear air conditioning vents, TPMS, and automated headlights, among other amenities.
The Venue S+ is somewhat more expensive than the XUV 3XO MX2 Pro (Rs 8.99 lakh), which includes a sunroof but has a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine instead of the Venue’s normally aspirated unit. The entry-level Nexon Smart+ S 1.2 petrol costs Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
