The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) has announced the admission calendar for postgraduate and PhD programs for the academic year 2025-26. Admission applications for various MA, MTech, and PhD courses will open on March 25 at the official website, iitb.ac.in. The academic session for these courses will commence in July 2025.
IIT Bombay offers ten degree programs, including the following:

3. MS by Research in Computer Science and Engineering
4. MS by Research in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (in CMInDs)
5. MS by Research in Healthcare Informatics
6. Dual Degree: MTech + PhD
7. Master in Public Policy (MPP)
8. Dual Degree: MA + PhD in Philosophy (Department of Humanities and Social Sciences)
9. Master in Development Practice (MDP)
10. Master of Arts by Research (MA in Research)
The Bombay-based technical institute will hold an entrance exam for its MPP program for the autumn session on May 6. The written test will be administered offline. The interview for selected candidates will take place the following day, May 7. Candidates must visit the official website to obtain information on their eligibility.

For the MA + PhD programmes in Philosophy, the written test for admission for the autumn semester of 2025-26 will be conducted online in two sessions on May 3 and May 4. Students who are selected will need to attend an interview round on May 6.
Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has notified that candidates seeking admission to its Master of Technology (MTech) and Master of Science (MS) by Research programs through various assistantship categories must register on the Common Offers Acceptance Portal (COAP). The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is in charge of coordinating the portal for the academic year 2025-26.
According to IIT Bombay’s official website, applicants for teaching assistantship (TA), teaching assistantship through project (TAP), research assistantship (RA), and research assistantship via project (RAP) must register on the COAP portal. IISc Bangalore will make the portal available after March 20, 2025.
To qualify for these assistantships, candidates must possess a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score.
