The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that six Odisha districts will experience heatwave conditions at one or two locations on March 13 and 14.
According to IMD predictions, six districts, including Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, and Jharsuguda, have been issued a yellow alert for heatwaves on the aforementioned days. This suggests a strong possibility of rising temperatures in these areas.
Furthermore, IMd predicts that dry weather would rule across Odisha’s districts for the next few days.
“Heat wave condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda,” read the IMD prediction issued for March 13.
The regional weather service has encouraged residents in these districts to stay hydrated, avoid going outside during the warmest portion of the day, and take other precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
