The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense fog for at least two days in several Odisha districts.
On January 2, the IMD regional centre in here issued a yellow fog warning for one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, and Rayagada (Monday).
Furthermore, shallow to moderate fog is expected in a few locations over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Mayurbhanj on January 2, according to the IMD regional centre’s bulletin.
On January 3, dense fog is expected to occur in one or two locations over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Boudh, and Sonepur, according to the IMD (Wednesday).
Aside from that, the IMD bulletin predicts that districts such as Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balangir will experience shallow to moderate fog on January 3.
According to the IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) will be 3-4 degrees Celsius above normal in most places across Odisha for the next four to five days.
