The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heatwave conditions and hot and humid weather in several districts of Odisha for March 30 and 31.
For March 30, the IMD has predicted heatwave conditions in one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Angul and Dhenkanal.
According to IMD prediction, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Puri on March 30.
According to the IMD’s March 31 yellow warning, the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Angul are expected to experience heatwave conditions in one or two places.
On March 31, the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati are expected to see one or two hot and muggy spots, according to the IMD forecast.
In order to prevent heat-related illnesses, the IMD has recommended individuals to take the appropriate precautions.
