Bhubaneswar: A total of 849 persons, including 119 children below 18 years of age, tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha over the last 24 hours whereas a total of 68667 samples had been tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.23%.
Khurda district registered highest 361 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (98) and Jajpur (32). With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1006503 with 7820 active cases.

Odisha Health Department also reported 69 more deaths as a result of COVID-19 as the toll mounted to 7834. Cuttack district recorded highest 19 fatalities.
