After passing the Phase I written examination, shortlisted candidates will proceed to Phase II of the recruiting process. This stage includes several key assessments: the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), which requires candidates to run 1.6 kilometers while performing push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups; the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), which records height, weight, and chest measurements; and a comprehensive medical examination to assess overall health.
Candidates will also be required to provide documentation to demonstrate their educational qualifications, age, identification, and category certifications. In some circumstances, an adaptation test is used to determine psychological preparation. The final merit list will be created based on performance across all phases and the amount of open positions.
This examination is part of the larger Agniveer recruitment 2025 cycle, which began on March 12, and is aimed at filling approximately 25,000 posts in the Indian Army, according to media reports.
The recruitment includes positions for male candidates across different categories and also has a dedicated Women Military Police category for eligible female candidates from Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. Admit cards for the written exam were issued on June 16.
