Indian and Chinese army troops clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang Sector. During the clash, some Indian soldiers were injured.
According to ANI, PLA troops contacted the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang Sector, which was contested by Indian troops “firmly and resolutely.” “This brawl resulted in minor injuries to a few personnel on both sides.” “Both sides immediately disengaged from the area,” according to ANI’s “sources.”
“As a result of the incident,” the sources added, “India’s Commander in the area held a Flag Meeting with his counterpart to discuss the issue in accordance with structured mechanisms to restore peace and tranquillity.”
There are areas of differing perception along the LAC in the Tawang Sector of Arunachal Pradesh, where both sides patrol the area up to their claim lines. According to the sources, this has been the case since 2006.
A spokesperson for India’s foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In June 2020, Indian and Chinese troops engaged in hand-to-hand combat in Ladakh’s Galwan valley, which borders the Chinese-held Tibetan plateau.
Twenty Indian soldiers were killed, with China suffering an unspecified number of casualties, and both sides increased their military presence in the high-altitude desert region, moving troops, weapons, and supplies.
India and China share a 3,800 km (2,360 mile) undefined border along which their troops previously adhered to long-standing protocols to avoid the use of any firearms along the de facto border known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
