JEE Main 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the JEE Main 2024 session 1 image correction window today. By 6th January candidates can access jeemain.nta.ac.in and make changes to their image by checking in with their application number and password.
The testing agency saw that the applicants’ uploaded photos did not meet the necessary requirements, so they opened a window to make the necessary adjustments.
Therefore, NTA in an official statement said: “It has been decided to give an opportunity to candidates to upload the Photograph as per required specifications to avoid rejection of application by opening the window to change their actual recent photograph on their respective online application forms as per schedule.”
The new image should have the following specifications:
– Passport size photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb). The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background
– Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
– Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
Attestation of the photos is not required. It is recommended that candidates maintain six to eight color passport-sized photos with a white backdrop. Candidates should be aware that their applications will be rejected and that they will be treated unfairly if it is discovered that the photos they have uploaded are fake, i.e., deformed or appear to be created by hand or computer, NTA continued.
The other details on the JEE Main 2024 application form cannot be changed by applicants. November 1 was the opening date of the JEE Main 2024 application period, which ended on December 4, 2023.
There will be two sessions for JEE Main 2024: one in January and one in April. In the second week of January 2024, candidates will receive information on the exam cities for the first session. The first session of the JEE Main test is scheduled for 24th January –1st February. The second session of JEE Main 2024 applications will commence on 2nd February and finish on 2nd March, 2024.
