JEE Main 2024: Registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is already open and will run till November 30, 2023. JEE Main, the engineering entrance exam, will be held in two stages. The first will take place between January 24 and February 1, 2024, and the second will take place between April 1 and April 15, 2024.
The NTA has made several adjustments to JEE Main 2024. The following are the modifications in the engineering entrance test, ranging from the host website address to the syllabus:
JEE Main New Website
The NTA has modified the JEE Main 2024 host website address. The official JEE Main website has been changed to jeemain.nta.ac.in. Previously, it was jeemain.nta.nic.in. The new jeemain.nta.ac.in website also has a chatbox to help students.
The new JEE Main website will provide access to all information, including JEE Main dates, notifications, admission cards, and results.
Registration through ABC, DigiLocker
During JEE Main 2024 registration, candidates must create a Digi Locker account or an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID). Candidates who do not desire to register through the Digi Locker / ABC ID must report to the examination center one hour before the entry time on the day of the examination.
Candidates may also use their passport number, PAN Card number or Aadhaar enrollment number to register for JEE Main. However, registering with these would require them to reach the exam centre early.
Number Of Exam Cities
The number of JEE Main 2024 exam cities has decreased to 300 in India as compared to 304 exam centre cities last year.
JEE Main 2024 Syllabus
This year’s JEE Main 2024 syllabus has also been updated. While certain chapters were completely deleted from this year’s JEE Main syllabus, a few sub-topics were.
JEE Main Application Fee
The NTA has also reduced the application price for JEE Main. Last year, male candidates in the General, General-EWS, and OBC (NCL) categories had to pay an application cost of Rs 1,000, while female candidates in these categories had to pay an application fee of Rs 800. For male candidates, the NTA has now decreased the General-EWS and OBC NCL application fees. The application cost for JEE Main 2024 is Rs 900 for male applicants from the General-EWS and OBC NCL categories.
