JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has updated the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 website with the most recent information. Students interested in learning more about JEE Main 2025 should visit the previous JEE portal, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The previous year, NTA had switched from the original JEE site — jeemain.nta.nic.in — to a new one, jeemain.nta.ac.in. However, this year, they have returned to using jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The initial website change last year was to facilitate a new NTA platform. “Previously, NIC (National Informatics Centre) managed the online application forms for JEE Main. Now, NTA has established its own platform and is transitioning to an in-house server for tasks such as hosting applications, generating city intimation slips, admit cards, scorecards, etc.,” a senior NTA official explained to media. The 2024 platform also featured an automated chat assistant, accessible in the bottom right corner, to support students with inquiries.
The reason for the recent transition to the outdated website for JEE Main 2025 has not been revealed. The current website seeks to enable seamless navigation to specific exam sections, hence improving accessibility for all students.
In addition, NTA has announced the removal of optional questions in Section B for JEE Main 2025, which were inserted briefly during the Covid-19 pandemic. This decision has elicited varied reactions from students, professors, and coaching centers, many of whom are concerned about how it may effect preparation methods.
