JEE Main 2026 Application: On February 27, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will launch an application correction window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Candidates who have made mistakes in their submitted JEE Main application form can update and modify them until February 28 (11.50 p.m.). The official website for the JEE Main session 2 is jeemain.nta.nic.in.
This opportunity to modify and make changes in the selected fields on the JEE Main 2026 application window is available to all candidates who have applied as a fresh candidate for the JEE Main 2026 session 2, as well as those who applied for JEE Main 2026 session 1 and registered for JEE Main 2026 Session 2.
JEE Main 2026 application correction for existing candidates
Existing candidates who registered during the JEE Main 2026 session 1 registration period, which ran from October 31 to November 27, 2025, and who also applied for session 2 between February 1 and February 25, 2026, will be able to alter or modify specific details in their application forms. These include the course (paper), medium of the question paper, state code of eligibility, choice of examination cities from the available options, educational qualification details for Class 10 and Class 12, gender, category, fee payment (if applicable), and identity details in cases where registration was done using a non-Aadhaar ID.
However, corrections in these fields will be allowed only after the payment of an additional correction fee, if applicable.
JEE Main 2026 application correction for new candidates
The JEE Main application correction process has various restrictions and concessions for new candidates who applied exclusively for JEE Main 2026 session 2 within the registration window from February 1 to February 25, 2026.
Candidates will not be able to update important contact and identity information, such as their mobile number, email address, permanent and current addresses, emergency contact information, or live or uploaded photographs.
They will, however, be able to change their own name or the names of their father and mother. Furthermore, candidates can update or add facts such as educational qualification information for Classes 10 and 12, state code of eligibility, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, or PwD status (if not validated through the UDID portal), signature, and paper preference.
Candidates may change their examination city and medium of examination if their permanent or current address changes. Only candidates who registered using a non-Aadhaar identity proof can have their identity details amended.
After the rectification opportunity in the JEE Main 2026 application concludes, the NTA will issue the advance city intimation slip, followed by the JEE Main Session 2 admit card. These documents will indicate the exam date, shift times, and the city and centre assigned. Candidates must thoroughly check the details and make travel plans, particularly for out-of-town centers.
