The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an official notice announcing a rectification window for students who have submitted their online registration forms for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), 2026 Session 2. The announcement, which was published on the NTA’s official website (nta.ac.in) on February 21, 2026, allows students to correct errors in their submitted application forms before the examination.
According to the official announcement, the adjustment window will be open from February 27, 2026 until 11:50 p.m. on February 28, 2026. Candidates are urged to submit all necessary modifications before the deadline, as the NTA has stated that no further corrections would be accepted after the window closes.
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 2 will be held between April 1 and April 10. Candidates may be required to pay additional fees when making corrections, where necessary.
Details that can be changed
Candidates can amend any of the following:
- Candidate’s Name/Father’s Name/Mother’s Name
Furthermore, they can amend all of the following details:
- Class 10 or equivalent details
- Class 12 or equivalent details
- Eligibility State Code
- Exam Center City
- Exam Language
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-Category/Disability Status
- Signature
Additions are allowed in the following:
- Paper Selection
- Aadhaar Linked Information
However, no changes can be made to the mobile number.
The formal announcement clarifies that candidates can only make adjustments until 11:50 p.m. on February 28, 2026, after which the NTA will not accept any changes. It further specifies that, if applicable, additional fees must be paid by credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. This service is only available once to reduce inconvenience for candidates, and they should make their corrections carefully as they will not be given a second chance.
The letter also notes that the deadline for submitting online applications for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is February 25, 2026, which will not be extended.
To avoid future errors, candidates should double-check their information within the time frame specified.
