Jeep has introduced the 2024 Compass in India, which features a diesel engine linked to a 9-speed automated (AT) transmission designed for emerging countries like India. The new Jeep Compass lineup now begins at Rs 20.49 lakh ex-showroom, while the AT lineup begins at Rs 23.99 lakh ex-showroom.
The new Jeep Compass for 2024 has a new gloss black grille and new 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a new color like the BlackShark version with an all-black interior with Ignite red accents. To improve the ride, Jeep retuned the completely independent suspension with frequency dampening for the front-and-rear strut system and a suite of Advanced Chassis Control Technologies.
The Jeep Compass receives a 10.25-inch frameless TFT digital dashboard, a 10.1-inch digital infotainment touchscreen, the new quicker Uconnect 5 with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad on the inside.
The 2017 Jeep Compass diesel is powered by a 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 168bhp and 370Nm of torque, paired to either a manual or the new 9-speed AT transmission. According to Jeep, the Jeep Compass can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds.
Sport, Longitude/Longitude Plus, Limited, BlackShark, and Model S trims are offered, with color options including Pearl White, Diamond Black, Techno Metallic Green, Exotica Red, Grigio Magnesio Grey, Minimal Grey, and Galaxy Blue.
