As expected, actor Manisha Rani has been named the winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. On Saturday night, Sara Ali Khan and Sanjay Kapoor, who starred in Murder Mubarak, declared Manisha the winner of the dancing reality program. Manisha has also received a vacation to the Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi and prize money of Rs 30 lakh in addition to the trophy. Ashutosh Pawar, her choreographer, has also been awarded a vacation to Abu Dhabi. Shoaib Ibrahim and Adrija Sinha finished as runners-up in the March 2 finale.
Manisha had joined the season as a wild card contestant and went on to impress the judges with her performance week after week. A wild card has become the winner for the first time in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa history. Manisha thanked each judge for their support when she was crowned champion, saying, “You all have given me so much love, respect, and support.” Manisha was also made fun of by Farah Khan, who asked her not to go deposit the winnings in the bank the following day.
During the finale, a video of Manisha Rani was also played where she said that she was skeptical about joining the season mid-way, but when she finally decided to do so, she wanted to make a strong impact. Throughout her time on the show, Manisha was a favorite of the judges, thanks to her unfiltered stance. Manisha was also quite loved by many celebrity guests on the show, including Shahid Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Nora Fatehi, among others.
Manisha had previously told media in an exclusive interview that she thinks it’s vital to follow one’s aspirations and that she thinks being independent is very important. I think it’s wrong to give up on dreams. We used to sacrifice our desires for our family in the past, but I eventually came to the conclusion that since life is short, you should never give up on your goals. Put in a lot of effort to achieve your goals; even if people don’t support you right now, they will eventually come around.
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 also had Dhanashree Verma and Sreerama Chandra as finalists. During the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 grand finale, Huma Qureshi was spotted endorsing Maharani Season 3 in addition to the cast of Murder Mubarak.
