Kabzaa, starring Upendra and Kichcha Sudeep, saw a drop in second-day collections following a lukewarm box office opening day. While actor Kapil Sharma’s Zwigato saw a slight increase in day two collections.
Kabzaa was released alongside two Hindi films: Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, starring Rani Mukerji, and Nandita Das’ Zwigato. The film is also competing at the box office with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar, which is still doing well in its second week.
According to early estimates for day two from industry tracker Sacnilk, Kabzaa earned Rs 8 crore India net on its second day for all languages. Kabzaa’s total two-day collection is now Rs 18.35 crore. Despite the fact that it is headlined by two stars, opened to negative reviews
Directed by R Chandru, the film was released in 5 languages – Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Kabzaa also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Shriya Saran, Sudha, Murali Sharma, Nawab Shah and Suneel Puranik among others.
Meanwhile, Zwigato had a first-day revenue of Rs 43 lakh. The comedy drama, which debuted to rave reviews and was released on 409 screens, saw a nearly 44% increase in revenue on Saturday, grossing an estimated Rs 62 lakh. The drama’s total now stands at Rs 1.05 crore. Kapil Sharma plays the role of a food delivery rider in Zwigato. It focuses on the plight of food delivery executives and how they work around the clock to make ends meet.
