Kawasaki has increased its trail adventure lineup in India with the introduction of three new models: the KX65, KX112, and KLX 230 RS. The Japanese company is the only one with a particular product line for the Indian Motocross market.
Kawasaki KX65: Price & specs
Kawasaki’s KX line has a new entry-level model in the form of the KX65, which is priced at Rs 3.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The KX65, which comes in Kawasaki’s characteristic Lime Green color, is intended for young and inexperienced riders who want to compete in motocross contests.
The KX65 is powered by a 64cc liquid-cooled two-stroke engine housed within a steel semi-double cradle chassis and mounted on 33mm conventional forks up front and a Uni-Trak rear suspension, both of which are adjustable. Stopping power is achieved from disc brakes at both ends while seat height is 760mm tall, making it the most accessible saddle in the KX range.
Kawasaki KX112: Price & specs
The KX112 replaces the old KX110, which slots above the KX65 and below the KX250 and KX450 in Kawasaki’s India lineup. The KX112, like the KX65, is not a road-legal motorcycle due to its two-stroke engine. The KX112 is powered by a 112cc 2-stroke liquid-cooled engine with Exhaust Power Valve (KIPS) and a 6-speed transmission.
The bike is supported by a high tensile steel perimeter frame with 36mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock, all of which are adjustable. The Dunlop MX33 tubed tyres are wrapped around 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wire-spoke wheels on the KX112. The KX112 is priced at Rs 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom) and includes Kawasaki’s Rideology program.
Kawasaki KLX 230RS: Price & spec
The KLX 230RS, unlike the KX family, is a road-legal bike thanks to its 233cc fuel-injected, air-cooled four-stroke engine. The KLX 230RS is priced at Rs 5.21 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with the KLX110, KLX140G, and KLX450R. Furthermore, the KLX bikes are stated to have a comfortable seat, optimum handlebar configuration, and ergonomics.
