On Tuesday, Lenovo released the ThinkPad P16 and ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise models, which are powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors. The former has a 16-inch screen, whereas the latter has a 14-inch screen. The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 features the new 12th Gen HX 55W processor, while the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook uses Intel vPro processors. To keep the temperature under control, the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has a new cooling system. A full-HD Webcam is included with both laptop models. The new ThinkPad P16 will be available later this month, with the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise following in June.
Lenovo ThinkPad P16 and ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise price, availability
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 laptop will be available later this month for $1,979 (roughly Rs. 1,53,400) in the United States. Meanwhile, the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise will be available in June for a starting price of $629 (roughly Rs. 48,800).
Lenovo has not yet disclosed the pricing or availability of the new ThinkPad laptop models for the Indian market.
Lenovo ThinkPad P16 specifications
The new Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is made of aluminium and features a 16-inch display with thin bezels, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an optional 4K OLED touch panel with pen support. The display is also certified for 16:10 low blue light emissions. The new workstation has numerous customization options.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is compatible with 12th Generation Intel Core Alder Lake HX processors running at 55W, as well as NVIDIA RTX A5500 graphics options. In addition, the laptop supports up to 16GB of RAM. The new laptop comes with up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and up to 8TB of SSD storage.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has an integrated fingerprint reader on the power button for authentication. On the new laptop, Lenovo has included a full-HD camera. It also has military-grade (MIL-SPEC) durability.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 comes with a new thermal solution that includes dual fans, heat pipes, a dual vapour chamber, keyboard air intake, and a dual by-pass design to keep the workstation cool and productive.
Lenovo ThinkPad P16 connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and optional 4G LTE. It’s powered by a 94Whr battery. According to reports, the laptop will be available in a variety of Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 Home, Windows 10 Pro, Ubuntu Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Fedora Linux flavours.
Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise specifications
The new Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise model features 14-inch full-HD IPS displays with optional touch functionality. The display also has thin bezels.
The new Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise runs Google’s Chrome OS and can be upgraded to Chrome Enterprise. The laptop supports processors built on Intel vPro technology with integrated Intel Graphics up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. The laptop has a maximum of 16GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB eMMC storage, and 256GB SSD storage.
The new Lenovo laptop includes speakers that support Waves MaxxAudio Pro, which improves the system’s audio performance. For video calls, it has a full HD Webcam with a privacy shutter. The Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise has a touch fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.
Wi-Fi 6E, optional 4G LTE Category 9, audio jack, HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD card slot, two USB 4 Type-C ports, and two USB Type-A 3.2 ports are among the connectivity options on the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise. There is also a backlit keyboard.
A 57Whr battery powers the Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise. It has dimensions of 352.4 x 217 x 19.83mm and weighs 1.56kg.
