Lexus debuted the new fifth-generation RX SUV at the 2023 Auto Show. This mid-size hybrid SUV is available in two trim levels: RX 350h Luxury and RX 500h F-Sport+, with ex-showroom prices of Rs 95.80 lakh and Rs 1.18 crore, respectively. Lexus India has announced that deliveries of the entry-level RX 350h have begun throughout the country.
Lexus RX 350h & RX 500h: Engine and gearbox
The Lexus RX 350h is powered by a 2.5-litre normally aspirated petrol engine mated with an electric motor, producing 248 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque. The engine is linked to a CVT transmission. According to Lexus, the RX 350h can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour.
The 2017 Lexus RX 500h F-Sport+ is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a hybrid electric system. This engine produces 366 horsepower and 460 Nm of peak torque when combined with a 6-speed automated transmission. This hybrid SUV is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and comes standard with all-wheel drive.

Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Soni, President, Lexus India said, “We are delighted by the overwhelming response that we have received from our guests for the new Lexus RX. In fact, new RX bookings from January to June 2023, are more than double of what we have sold in the last five years.”
He further added, “We are trying our best to begin dispatches of the RX 500 shortly too. We appreciate the trust and faith our guests have placed in the brand and would like to thank them for their patience and understanding.”
