In India, LG unveiled its initial lineup of AI-enabled smart TV series. Among them is the LG OLED97G4, which is the biggest OLED smart TV in the world. It is a gigantic 97-inch 4K smart TV that runs webOS and is powered by an inside α11 AI processor.
LG claims that these TVs have features like AI Picture Pro, which applies AI to pixel-level analysis to brighten images, and AI upscaling. AI technologies are also being used by LG to enhance color.
The latest range of AI-enabled smart TVs from LG ranges from 42 inches and goes all the way up to 97 inches. These models offer technologies like up to 4K resolution, 144Hz ultra-fast refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 port, and are also NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync certified, which doubles them as a gaming monitor.
Besides OLED models, LG has also announced a couple of smart TVs with QNED technology, which makes use of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies to deliver deeper blacks and rich contrast, which according to LG offer 20-bit accuracy. These televisions are also equipped with virtual 9.1.2 surround sound technology.
Other prominent features of the latest range of smart TVs from LG include up to five years of software support (webOS), Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision. These televisions are also compatible with wireless screen/content-sharing technologies like Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast.
The 43-inch QNED82T model in LG’s new AI TV lineup is priced at Rs 62,990, while the 65-inch LG QNED90T (Mini LED) is priced at Rs 1,89,990. Comparably, the LG OLED evo G4 AI, a 55-inch model, costs Rs 2,39,990, while the least expensive OLED model, with a 42-inch screen, costs Rs 1,19,990.
The premium LG OLED97G4 is priced at Rs 20,49,990.
