Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over south Chhattisgarh and surrounding areas, light to moderate rain will continue in several places of Odisha during the next four days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its midday bulletin on Monday. The state also issued a dense fog alert in several districts.

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.01.2024)
Light to moderate rain\thundershower very likely to occur at a few places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and at one or two places in south Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, and Bargarh. At the same time, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places in north interior Odisha and one or two places.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sambalpur.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.01.2024)
Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms is very likely to occur at a few places in south Odisha, north coastal Odisha, and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.01.2024)
Light to moderate rain\thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in north Odisha, south coastal Odisha, and at one or two places in south interior Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Light rain\thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over in Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Khurda, Nayagarh, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
