According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure region is predicted to form over the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours and could grow into a depression by November 16. As a result, some coastal parts of Odisha may get light to moderate rain or thundershowers over the next 48 hours.
On November 15, the weather will be mostly cloudy in south coastal Odisha, with mild to moderate rain in regions like Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Kendrapada. On November 16, the intensity of rain is expected to increase in 10 districts of interior and coastal Odisha. The weather will be gloomy on November 17 and 18, with a possibility of heavy rain in some places.
As a result, cold and dry winds from the northwest are expected to drop minimum temperatures (night temperatures) by 2°C-3°C over the state. However, due to the clear sky and lack of water vapor in the atmosphere, it is expected to be hot and humid during the day.
