Mahindra has officially introduced the Thar Roxx, also known as the Thar five-door, with prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 13.99 lakh for the diesel model (ex-showroom) in the 4×2 MX trim. This updated version improves the appeal of the three-door Thar by including two additional doors and a bench seat in the second row.
Powertrains
The Thar Roxx has two engine options: a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder mStallion turbo-petrol with 160 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, and a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mHawk diesel with 150 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque. Both engines available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The Thar Roxx collection includes a variety of alternatives to suit different preferences and budgets. The Thar Roxx AC7L and AX5L variants are priced at Rs 18.99 lakh each, while the MX5 and AX3L versions cost Rs 16.99 lakh. For those looking for a more affordable option, the MX3 costs Rs 14.99 lakh (G AT RWD) and Rs 15.99 lakh (D MT RWD). The entry-level MX1 variant is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh (G MT RWD) and Rs 13.99 lakh (D MT RWD), providing buyers with a wide variety of options for experiencing the Thar Roxx’s tough capabilities.
Design Highlights
The 2024 Thar Roxx is redesigned with a new grille, C-shaped LED DRLs, projector headlamps, circular fog lights, dual-tone alloy wheels, and rear door handles. The rear features rectangular LED taillights and a spare wheel positioned on the tailgate.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Thar Roxx has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a completely digital color instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, rear air vents, and dual-tone upholstery.
