The XUV400 electric SUV has been launched by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd at a starting and introductory price of Rs. 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom India. The high-capacity XUV400 EV is priced at Rs. 18.99 lakh ex-showroom. The special prices apply to the first 5,000 units of each variant. Bookings for the XUV400 will begin on January 26, with deliveries beginning in March 2023 for the XUV400 EL and during the Diwali festive season for the XUV400 EC.

Mahindra XUV400 EV: Variants and battery
The Mahindra XUV400 is available in two models with two battery pack options: 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh. Both batteries power the electric motor mounted on the front axle, which produces 150bhp and 310Nm of torque. Mahindra claims that the SUV can sprint from 0-100kmph in 8.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 150kmph. The electric SUV has three driving modes: Fun, Fast, and Fearless.
According to the Indian driving cycle, the XUV400 with a 34.5kWh battery pack has a range of 375km, while the larger 39.4kWh unit has a range of 456km (MIDC). According to Mahindra, charging the SUV from 0 to 80% takes less than 50 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger.Using a 7.2kW charger, the SUV juices up 0-100% in 6 hours 30 minutes or with a 3.3kW AC charger in 13 hours.
Mahindra XUV400 EV: Features
Among the features of the Mahindra XUV400 are a 7.0-inch touchscreen with connected car technology, Mahindra’s AdrenoX software, and a single-pane sunroof. It has up to six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, an IP67 rating for the battery pack, and ISOFIX anchorages for safety.
Mahindra XUV400 EV: Rivals
The XUV400 competes with the Tata Nexon EV, which is priced between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 19.84 lakh. It also competes with the MG ZS EV, which is priced between Rs 22.98 lakh and Rs 26.90 lakh.
