The second phase of the BS6 emissions standards will go into effect on April 1, 2023. With this in mind, all manufacturers are updating their vehicles, and Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 2023 RDE compliant Ignis.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis: Safety features
The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Hold Assist are two new safety features introduced by Maruti Suzuki in the 2023 Ignis. Aside from that, the hatchback has twin airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), and ISOFIX child seat mounts. All of these features are standard on the Ignis 2023. The Maruti Suzuki hatchback will remain available in four trim levels: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.
The Ignis continues to offer a 7-inch infotainment touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, start/stop ignition button, automatic climate control, auto ORVMs and tilt steering.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis: RDE-compliant engine and prices
Maruti Suzuki has improved the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which now produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
The 2023 Ignis costs Rs 27,000 more than the previous model in all four variants. The manual range starts at Rs 5.82 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.59 lakh, while the AMT range starts at Rs 6.91 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.14 lakh, all ex-showroom Delhi.
Starting with the two new paint schemes, the Ignis is available in six monotone colors: Turquoise Blue, Lucent Orange, Nexa Blue, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, and Pearl Artic White. It is also available in three dual-tone colors: Nexa Blue with black roof, Nexa Blue with silver roof, and Lucent Orange with black roof.

The 2023 Ignis will go up against its stable mate and the popular Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Hyundai i10 Grand and the most affordable Tata Tiago.
