The Matter Aera, India’s first geared electric motorcycle, is priced at Rs. 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is available in two models: the 5000 and the 5000+, with starting prices of Rs. 1.44 lakh and Rs. 1.54 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). Both models use the same battery pack and have a range of 125 kilometers. The Aera will soon be available in two additional variants from the brand called 4000 and 6000+. The motorcycle will be available in four dual-tone colors: grey and neon, blue and gold, black and gold, and red and black and white.
Matter Aera Electric Bike Details
Matter Aera has market-leading features and a minimalistic design. Both models include a 5 kWh battery pack. It is also India’s first electric motorcycle with a four-speed transmission. It has a claimed range of 125 km with the battery and 10 kW motor. According to Matter, the Aera 5000 battery can be fully charged in five hours using a standard charger arrangement. With a fast charger, charging takes two hours. It is a practical electric motorcycle with features such as alloy wheels, a clip-on handlebar, an LED headlamp, a split seat, and other design elements. The LED turn indicators on the fuel tank shroud with auto canceling feature give it a futuristic appearance.
It has a 7-inch TFT touchscreen for the instrument panel, which displays a wealth of information including navigation, SMS/call alerts, and other functions. Also, it receives OTA updates, proximity key functionality, keyless start and go, and other features. Single disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, along with ABS and CBS, are used for braking.
Matter provides a three-year warranty on the battery pack and e-bike. Mattery Energy will open its first experience center in Ahmedabad soon. The motorcycle will be available in four dual-tone colors: grey and neon, blue and gold, black and gold, and red and black and white.
Matter Aera 5000, which was recently released, will compete with India’s already popular electric motorcycles. It competes with Oben Rorr, Hop OXO, Tork Kratos, Revolt RV400, and other products. Because of its segment-leading features, the Matter Aera will have an advantage over the competition.
