A group of healthcare professionals, including representatives from the Mayo Clinic and other healthcare research organizations, met with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan to explore advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment procedures.
The symposium focused on the high expense and uncertainty of cancer treatment, highlighting the importance of quick DNA testing to establish treatment efficacy.
According to the discussions, applying this novel approach in Odisha will allow for early diagnosis and effective treatment. The Chief Minister promised that healthcare, particularly cancer treatment, is a primary concern of the state administration. He asked the representatives to submit a written proposal describing their plans.
Several notable officials attended the conference, including Additional Chief Secretary Nikunj Bihari Dhal and Commissioner-cum-secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department Aswathi S. Renowned professionals such as Professor Dev Mukherjee from the Mayo Clinic, Charles Miller from Elephes Bio-Sciences, Dr. Biren Banerjee, Founder and Managing Director of inDNA Life Sciences, and Devi Prasad Rath also attended the meeting.
