Meta has released new upgrades on numerous products across Facebook and Instagram to enable creators generate money in order to entice them.
On Instagram, the company is testing a special invite-only holiday bonus for creators in the United States, South Korea, and Japan.
“The holiday bonus will reward creators for sharing their creativity through reels and photos (both single-image posts and carousels). Select creators will be invited to test this new bonus until the end of the year,” Meta said in a blogpost on Monday.
As long as the content meets the Content Monetisation Policies, creators will earn based on the number of reels played and photo views received within the bonus time.
Meta also stated that there are now over one million active creative memberships via Instagram subscriptions. Within a year of the program’s introduction, Instagram had reached one million followers.
More than 35 countries, including India, have access to the service.
Meta has launched additional promotional tools to help creators increase their subscriber communities, such as revealing the Subscribe button when your followers view your work in Feed and making it easy to welcome new subscribers via DMs and Stories.
On Facebook, the tech giant is adding more ways for followers to subscribe, such as via your Reels and Stories, and giving creators the ability to offer free 30-day subscription trials to their fans.
“We’re also rolling out more control over pricing, so creators can change the price of their subscription over time,” Meta said.
Furthermore, the business is making it easier for artists to participate in ads by displaying additional ad eligibility information when generating Instagram Stories for brand partners that work on Branded Content and Partnership Ads.
If a creator selects “Allow brand partner to boost” while producing a story, the firm will prompt them to fix ad eligibility problems in their content.
